If you are interested in getting involved but have some questions you want answering before you do please see below.
These are questions I get asked often ,but please feel free to ask any other questions if I have not covered it or you would like me to go into more detail.
How can I get involved?
If you would like to get involved then please email jimdalygreyhoundtrainer1@gmail.com or call 07802704979 and Jemma can sort everything for you.
Is the share price a one off cost?/Is there anything to pay after you have purchased your share?
All of our syndicates apart from one at the minute have the same structure. The share price is a one off cost and you are then responsible for 5% of the ongoing monthly kennel bills. (Droopys Andes)
Do you have different payment options for purchasing shares?
We offer the choice of either paying for your share in full or up to over a 12 month period.
What do I get when I join the syndicate?
- You will gain access onto our online forum, where you can find all info about the dogs and see their races etc.
- You will receive a pdf copy of a members certificate.
- You will receive a text message the morning of your greyhounds race with Jims opinion of their chances.
- We arrange members days, bbq's etc which you are invited to all free of charge (friends and family welcome).
- You are welcome at the kennels and track to see the dogs and talk to members.
- We arrange competitions etc so it is a good way to socialise.
And much more...
How much are kennel bills per month?
Full monthly kennel bills are £180 + VAT. We do not add any petrol, worming , fleaing, vaccinations renewal's or vet checkover's. As we do not add any of this on we keep any run money earned and 20% of win money. This means that kennel bills rarely if ever exceed £10.80 per month, and are usually a lot lower once win money is deducted.
How do you find out how much your kennel bill is ?
All of the syndicate greyhounds kennel bills are uploaded onto our members forum . The kennel bill you owe for your share(s) is then emailed to you between the end of the month and the 2nd of the next month.
Can I visit the kennels?
You and your family/friends are more than welcome to visit the kennels whenever you would like. Our owners day is usually a Sunday morning but if this does not suit you then if you get in touch with us we can sort another time for you.
Can I leave the Syndicate at any point?
If you would like to leave the syndicate at any point (we hope you don't!) then you can relinquish your share. We do not allow members to re sell their shares so this will mean that you will lose your purchase price but will just no longer be charged for their kennel bills.
Where do the syndicate dogs run?
Our contracted track is Crayford Stadium so most of our syndicate dogs run there. If any of the dogs are open class then they will be taken to other tracks but members will be made aware when this is the case.
Do I get free entry into the track if my dog is running?
When you join the syndicate I will send you a form you need to fill in to apply for an owners pass at Crayford. Once you have done this you will then get free entry into the track when your dog is running.
How often will my greyhound run?
Greyhound usually run every 5-10 days but this is not always guaranteed.
What happens when my dog is retired?
When your greyhound is retired we give all members first option as to whether they would like to take them home as a pet themselves. If no one is able to then they go to Crayford Homefinders who will then find them a pet home. The cost is £150 which is £7.50 per member.
Do you take private owned dogs?
Although we are well known for our syndicate dogs we also do have private owned greyhounds and always welcome new private owners. If you are interested in purchasing a greyhound then this is also something Jim can help you with as he has good connections especially with Droopys Stud. If you get in touch via email : jimdalygreyhoundtrainer1@gmail.com or call Jim direct on 07889180351.
