As a majority of the forum is for existing members eyes only, we have created this thread so our syndicate members can talk about what Jim Daly Racing syndicates means to them.
I have used an early post from Steve Meikle as an example

I'm Steve Meikle, I am 26 and I live in Oulton Broad, near Lowestoft. I joined the syndicates in early 2010 and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The syndicate has given people the opportunity to part own some top top greyhounds. I personally own a share in DJ, Hector, Bowser, Sally and the Droopy's Pup. And for the value being offered, the list is sure to get longer! I have met some great people who are part of the syndicate, and with the syndicate expanding I am sure there will be many more! Highlights for me so far during the syndicates include...... DJ being part of the triple dead-heat then trouncing the opposition in the re-match! Hector putting in an unbelieveable effort to finish runner up in the Group 3 Magners Sprint. Meg winning the Group 3 Coral On TV Bitches trophy in convincing fashion! Very well deserved victory. Brandon reaching the final of the Yarmouth Championship after coming through via the toughest heats. Hope to see you all soon! And enjoy!

Heres a great photo recently taken by Jemma on one of our Sunday walks. After many failed attempts we thought we had all 14 greyhounds facing the right way until Sally Pepper took a liking to Andy Beards aftershave!

Hi everyone, My name is Ben mannall, im 20 and live in caister right near Yarmouth stadium where i currently work and have done for nearly 4 and half years. Since I have started I have always had a strong interest in the racing which made me want to get involved in the sport which I now am and loving every single minute of it. Since getting involved i have met many of the other owners in the kennel and all are real nice people. I am involved with 2 dogs at the kennel. My first dog is destiny aka Peter poop. He is a young dog that is doing me and the other 3 syndicate members very proud. My second is farloe bowser aka Bow Wow who has got massive potential to be an open racer. I look forward to the journey ahead we have with this dog and will hopefully bring us plenty of success and enjoyment. Since getting involved I am very happy with how things have gone. I know jim, Kelly and the team work extremely hard on a daily basis and give their all to keep us owners happy. Since I have joined I have been made very welcomed by all I have met and would lime to thank you for that. This is such a nice kennel to be proudly involved with. The really nice thing is how close we all are within the camp this makes us like one big family. Sundays are such a nice pleasant day at the kennels and I try to come as much as possible as it gives you a great chance to see your dog, walk your dog and chat with the other owners. Sundays seem to be getting more and more popular each week with more owners coming out on the walk which is really nice so let's hope it continues and I look forward 2 see new and old on these walks. For those new to the kennel you have made the right choice in having your dog wiv the daly's at summer lane kennels you won't be dissapointed.

Jim (far left) on a rare couple of hours away from his dogs, trying to be led astray this Easter weekend at Yarmouth Races by (left to Right) Scott Church, Tony Jubb, Steve Meikle, Ben Mannall and Matt Brown. Thanks to Diana for taking the photo, the big smiles continued into the night as the Kennel had 2 winners at the track that evening.

From time to time we will arrange events for members to meet up. Of course many events will be arranged at a greyhound track venue, and some at the kennels. We will also look at attending a couple of horse racing meetings. If anyone has any ideas of suggestions then feel free to create a new thread and put the udea forward.

My name is Tony Jubb, alias roadrunner, and i am a retired Bank Manager. I have the honour of being Jims first owner when he set up a professional trainer in his own right, many years ago. I have known Jim many years and he is not just an excellent greyhound trainer, he is also a genuine person with high integrity in all his dealings. I will be running the syndicate for Sally, a Droopys Scolari x Daly Star pup.

It's good to see everyone making their introductions on the new forum. Welcome to members new and old. I am, of course, Jim Daly your trainer! My sincerest thanks and gratitude go to Steve Meikle who spent hours putting this forum together for us to help keep up to speed on the syndicate greyhounds, talk about performances and enjoy a bit of fun and banter along the way. Members who joined in our first year will not need reminding, JDR syndicates, has come a long way in a short space of time! Indeed, within just a couple of months of setting our syndicate up Longford Meg, in Feb 2010, was so cruelly denied, by a short head, victory in The Coral On TV Puppy Trophy over 400m at Romford In some strange way that loss helped pathe the way for a strong and lasting bond amongst the group! JDR syndicates, with your support, can achieve great things. There will, no doubt, be ups and downs, highs and lows - that's greyhound racing. However, staying united and looking out for each other, we can and I'm sure we will enjoy some great times in this wonderful sport together. Communication, Ive learned, is the key to success. There will be times during a heavy racing schedule that I'm not available to update the forum as much as id like to. All members are able to contact me direct if they need to. Points of contact with me can be email jim@jimdalygreyhounds.co.uk mobile phone or text message 07889 180351 land line 01603 458440. (non race nights only) Once again, thank you all for your support and I hope you all enjoy your greyhound racing with us. Jim Had to edit the email address. Was wrong!

Enjoyed Sunday morning at the kennel seeing all those lovely pups and the Big Bruiser Bowser and fell in Love with Fifi or Phoebe as Kelly kept calling her. Fifi was a bit on the quiet side when she first came out but after a while her head slowly started to rise. Nice to see fellow members again and hope to be down again soon. Many thanks to all the kennel hands and keep up the good work.

Hi Everyone, My name is Archie Scales and I am a retired Packaging Development Manager. My wife Rosie and I have been involved in greyhound racing one way or another for the last 45 years. We trained for about 15 years back in the 60,s and 70,s, racing dogs at the old flapping tracks like Melton Mowbray, Earls Barton, Bury St Edmonds, and the now licenced Peterborough and Henlow. (Did manage to take a few bob out of Wishaw and Coatbridge too Liz). I have a share in Meg, DJ and little Sally. My best times with the syndicate are the same as Steves plus it is allways a pleasure to visit the kennels on a Sunday. I would recommend it to all the new members. You are made to feel part of the team and being able to walk some of these brave animals is a real privilege. Looking forward to seeing you all at the track or kennels.

The sun was shining, the beer was cold and the betting was terrible ha ha. It was hilarious when Derek Thompson collared Scott for an interview, well done Ben on stitching him up! Funnily enough in the photo, Jim is only 4ft from the seafood stall, where he spent a majority of the day lol. It was a bit of a last minute, off the cuff day out, we will organise something properly at a later date. I always go to the horses before the East Anglian Greyhound Derby, could be a date worth looking for in the future.
